Amy Gassmann, is the Physical Therapist at Millennium Therapy in Edgewood, IA. She has over 16 years of experience. Amy has experience in a variety of areas, focusing on outpatient services for clients of all ages, and also in nursing homes, home health, and assisted living facilities as well. Amy treats patients to relieve pain, improve the body’s movement and function, and limit disabilities. Pt can also be useful in helping patients with balance problems, weakness, tendonitis and provide patients with home programs to accelerate their recovery. Amy also has past clinical history providing PT including hospital based inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as progressive resistive exercises, employment screening, workman’s comp injuries, and sports injuries. Outside of work, Amy enjoys a variety of outdoor activities to include gardening, camping, fishing and riding ATV’s, and in the wintertime enjoys watching movies.
Cathy Schuman is the Occupational Therapist at Millennium Therapy in Edgewood, IA. She has over 26 years of experience. She is highly involved in helping people recover from injury, regain skills, and provide education and programs for older adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes. Cathy has experience in a variety of areas such as outpatient services for clients of all ages, nursing homes, home health, and assisted living facilities as well. Occupational therapy services may also include comprehensive evaluations of client’s home and other environments (workplace, school), recommendations for adaptive equipment and training in its use, and guidance and education for family members and caregivers. Nancy Cassel is the Speech Therapist at Millennium Therapy in Edgewood, IA. She has over 25 years of experience. She provides speech therapy to people of all ages including children. Nancy has been certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Therapy technique, which helps individuals with Parkinson’s disease achieve a louder voice. Nancy is a licensed therapist who will assess, diagnose, and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive communications, voice, swallowing, and fluency. Speech, language, and swallowing difficulties can result from a variety of causes including stroke, brain injury, developmental delays or disorders, learning disabilities, cleft palate, voice pathology, or hearing loss.
